Each project is different, so quotes here are meant to function as a reference point. Contact me with more details about your project for a customized quote. I’m also open to equivalent barters/trades for either partial or full payment. Hooray for alternative currencies and divesting from dominant economic models!
About sliding scales
Sliding scales strive to make services more accessible. They can also acknowledge—and work to counter—structural inequities that affect income (race, disability). Offering a sliding scale is one way I seek to leverage my own privilege and embed anti-oppression practices into the work I do: a micro-form of reparations and redistribution, and an ethic that extends from the personal to the systemic. My version of a sliding scale has three levels:
Reparations level
- Black or Indigenous individual
- Low-income individual
- Black or Indigenous owned business or organization
Standard level
Quotes listed under this level are calculated using my standard rate.
Redistribution level
If you are able to pay at this level, it helps me offer pro bono work as well as services at the lower-end of the sliding scale.
Consider paying at this level if you are white and/or have a stable mid-to-high income.

Editing
This involves working with a completed draft of writing to make it its best possible iteration, which includes attention to technical aspects such as language, grammar, and sentence structure, as well as shaping tone and voice as needed. I also edit with an inclusivity lens to ensure a piece of writing is fine-tuned to its most welcoming and respectful.
